Whenever I'm on the NCR trail and I need something for my bike Monkton Bike is my go to place. He said it was a 20 min walk which was more like 35 hauling a large tube.. there is no shuttle. The parking in their lot is extremely limited, so we had to park along the street. The owner is helpful and offers good advice without any pressure to spend a fortune. Drop your inner tube in the chilly Gunpowder River There is a 15 minute walk for an hour float or a 30 minute walk for 2 hours which isn't bad at all, you end up getting out near the tube rentals which is very convenient. I am black and he is white. It's relativelyyyy easy to walk the tubes up the NCR trail to the launch spot, though they do offer a $5 shuttle since it is 2 miles up the trail. The people who work there are super nice. The tubes here allow you to still get wet while just sitting in it.
