Not only are they not clear about the instructions (I don’t remember seeing that I needed to write “for deposit only” under my signature as is noted by someone above) but, if there IS an issue (such as “for deposit only” not noted) they don’t notify you of the discrepancy, they just put a hold on your account for the amount of the check with no description and I guess you are supposed to figure out on your own what the problem is, because customer service can’t tell you either. How long a heck takes to clear depends on many factors. What made me even notice at all was that the update wasn’t automatic on Android because of the elevated permissions request (use of the device’s camera).
