While we’d like to think that Adroit is your home, the one nest you keep coming back to, we also know that our readers and contributors have wingspans bigger than one journal. This award is for authors with no more than one full length collection at the time of submission. So while most magazines suggest reading their back issues to get a sense of what they like to publish, we’d suggest reading to get a sense of what we’re having trouble finding—if you notice a style or subject matter that we don’t seem to be publishing, send us that!Our tributes are usually half-issues but sometimes comprise an entire issue.
