This was my first Lisnavagh House wedding so I was really excited to see the house too.I first Skype’d Grace over a year ago when she was living in New York but didn’t get a chance to meet Tyler at the time. Its breathtaking in both splendor and size and has a 20 ft. high ceiling and a carefully crafted root made using timber that was grown on this historic estate. Built with red bricks which were made on Lisnavagh estate more than 160 years, and a dash of contemporary ingenuity, this brick barn serves as a charismatic location for exchanging vows. Between the main house, courtyard stables and guesthouses, it is possible to sleep up to seventy guests at Lisnavagh.
This yew walk accommodates up to 170 guests and has an altar that can be styled according to your needs.
Lisnavagh is the family seat of the McClintock-Bunbury family, Barons Rathdonnell. Tim took me by surprise with the engagement and proposed in a beautiful church in front of a Michelangelo statue of Our Lady.
I was overwhelmed and of course said yes!We would both say that our favourite moment was the moment I walked up the aisle to join Tim on the altar to say our vows to one another and become man and wife!Truly, enjoy EVERY minute of the day, from sunrise to long after sunset! This 19th century Tudor Gothic house in Co. Carlow became the perfect destination wedding venue for these guys who both hail from California. I must have sounded like a desperate wedding photographer through the emails!
This venue is amazing, the house itself if just so beautiful and inside it gets even better. Not once did we feel rushed shooting their portraits, and they never seemed to stress on where to be next, I think you’ll see that in the photos. Nothing is more magical than realizing that you are hosting your wedding under a canopy of beautiful trees, amidst the fresh country air and bird songs.

Lisnavagh Estate is an estate house which lies outside the village of Rathvilly in County Carlow, Ireland. From the yew walk entry to the brick barn and the gorgeous lawns, you can be sure you will have an unforgettable wedding day with your spouse, family, and friends.This is a ceremony space with a magical tree tunnel that has been designed from 160-year-old yew trees. I clearly remember thinking from our conversations what a nice, friendly and happy person she was.We finally met them in person on the day and instantly felt part of the clan. A plaque in the present house states that the original house at Lisnavagh was built by William Bunbury in 1696.
