2 out of 7 found this helpful. Cree Summer is excellent as Christy. Origins of the Care Bears & their Cousins. I was worried that my daughter might get the wrong idea. The big problem however as most people have pointed out was that this story contradicts the original. Noble Heart Horse meet Dawn & John & took them to see True Heart Bear. I can't tell you the number of times I used to pretend Dark Heart wanted to imprison me, have me help him capture the Care Bears, tried to make me turn over to his dark side, and other things like that etc. Set in a peaceful summer camp, evil Dark Heart makes a bargain with an unhappy little girl to trap the Care Bears and destroy goodness. I found this film to be very true to life and just when things couldn't be worse, the girl sees what she's done, she feels remorse and then changes and then she helps this dark, mystical creature learn the human quality of love. Many people may find this storyline contradictive if you have seen the first movie. Speaking of the voice acting, it was great, nothing wrong with it whatsoever.
And when I recently found the movie in my storage room and watched it again, I found that I still loved it! The Care Bears try to help a young girl at summer camp who, in an effort to revamp her dorky social status to agility and skill, enters into a sinister bargain with a shape-shifting demon posing as a young boy. 1 out of 6 found this helpful. I think the "Dark-Heart" character is a little on the rough side and I don't like the way he shape-shifts into a "mean" frog, fox, boy I was wrong, This movie was made for my kid, not for me.
