it is impossible to lose, as your party will have Auto-Life that revives them when they die. The key elements of Yevon’s teachings are, more than Sin being a symbol of mankind’s sins, the advice to atone for sins and the prohibition of machina usage. It's a huge mechanical construct, with multiple icons with a strange symbol; the symbol of Yu Yevon. Learn more about hiring developers or posting ads with us
It would not be strange for a community of a united cause to have a symbol of respect and unity while he lived. The Fayth then created Dream Zanarkand, based off of memories of their life in the old city. The dungeon features a memory-based puzzle game where you have to trigger a set of panels to complete the Yu Yevon symbol in one of the rooms.

However, Yu Yevon suffers from an unknown disorder that wills him to cast Auto-Life on his enemies. The dream Zanarkand is composed merely of the Fayths memories of the old city and their lives.
Spira is the fictional world of the Square role-playing video games Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2.Spira is the first Final Fantasy world to feature consistent, all-encompassing spiritual and mythological influences within the planet's civilizations and their inhabitants' daily lives. These two facts combined give us evidence that the Fayth must have known of the symbol before Dream Zanarkand was constructed. The point of Dream Zanarkand was to restore Old Zanarkand to it's pre-war state and to preserve it for eternity. For 1000 years, this process was repeated as the Spiral of Death. The people of another city, Bevelle, waged war on Zanarkand, and their advanced machina promised them victory.

Unless I missed it, if the real Zanarkand was destroyed by Sin, which was created by Yu Yevon, why is it that the Yu Yevon symbol is nearly everywhere you walk in Zanarkand Ruins? He does not seem to be known in the idealized dream Zanarkand.

And Yu Yevon's most recent victim... was Jecht. Therefore, I think it's safe to guess that the Yevon Prayer did not begin as a prayer exactly. Gagazet, it also seem that the Faith in the temples can also go to this world as we see the Bahamut Faith appear at the beginning and also in Tidus's flashbacks and also when the truth about Yu Yevon is revealed, visiting the other Faith has them confirm they too are dreaming the Dream ZanarkandBut I am wondering, was the Yevon Prayer created from the Blitzball Sign for Victory after Zanarkand was destroyed or is the Blitzball Sign for Victory just the Yevon Prayer that was added to Dream Zanarkand by Bevelle/Yevon centric Faith? As @Kai has mentioned, it is ambiguous and you'll have to make your own judgement call. Apart from mind-control and the ability to summon infinitely, Yu Yevon has access to many powerful spells such as Curaga (which it counters everything with), Gravija, Full-Life, and Ultima. The final antagonist of the game, Yu Yevon, is the God of a religion -- and he physically, metaphorically, and even literally surrounds himself with Sin. @ToshinouKyouko JRPGs are still on-topic so long as it's about the plot. Therefore, you must decide yourself which possiblity you believe is more plausible. As far as I know, this is left somewhat ambiguous.
