I cannot recommend this organisation highly enough . I’ve checked how long a DRO should take and it’s definately not 7 months I get there are busy times but it’s somewhat ridiculous and I hope it will be put right in the end I’m still very patient but advise for anyone suffering mentally and physically to go else where.

I would recommend Step Change to anyone in debt! My creditors pressure is getting worse because of their imcompetance. A registered charity no.1016630 and SC046263. Honestly changed my life.
Payments were affordable every month so I never went short with day to day needs.
Absolutely brilliant make things so easy to understand great communication Like many people I was afraid to answer my phone or speak to creditors when being due money to them but step change had taken care of all of this which helped my anxiety alot. My debtors were harassing me by phone.

Luckily there are other places to get debt advice. I was recommended Stepchange by one of my creditors and they really did me a favour. It has taken me over ten years to pay off my debt but with your help and support it took away a lot of the stress.

Only to then check my accounts and see that… No judging, just simple helpful advice from start to finish. Not what you need when you are stressed and struggling to manage and that is the reason why you contacted them. However if you use a screen reader and require debt advice you may find it easier to phone us instead.

Stepchange used to be CCCS and are a good organisation to use as there is no charge to you and lenders 'prefer' customers in debt to use these or other free organisations as opposed to those companies out there who charge a 'management fee' to probably do less than Stepchange will do for free.
