How can I use MuseScore for education? I signed up for Musescore's 30 day free trial. I asked for a refund a week later and they sent me the ToS which states they will give you a refund if requested 14-days after purchase (I wasn't even into the time of the paid subscription) Greedy, dishonest company. I would give this service 0 stars if I could, it's a complete scam! Really shady company, is a scam.
The software is free, but access to the music is not. I did not sign up for a discounted pro account, I signed up for a free trial. I submitted a refund form to customer support through their website, and was to my surprise (after reading all the reviews on here), contacted the next day and refunded the the full amount minus this month’s subscription. The actual service it self is not awful but the billing and subscription aspect of it is very shady. Five weeks after my initial email, I get a reply from "Paula Abdul" telling me all the info I need to provide (half of which I already did), and so I write back with every detail, then "Paula" writes back and tell me to send the info to a different email (she couldn't have told me that in the first email, or just forwarded it herself??) I tried the trial version, and after that, I couldn't access again to my account, it seems my email doesn't exist although I have mails of them.
What I didn't notice or even think about at the time is they never sent me a cancellation confirmation E-Mail. I signed up for a month-long “free”trial and canceled after 25 days but was still charged. Shouldn't there be some record of this charge? However, I was charged for a year's subscription 3 days into the free trial. You should get Sibelius instead. The prices are reasonable. However, I then realized they CHARGED my card immediately for $30! Absolute cons.
I was initially offered the usual 8 month subscription extension or 40% refund, but as soon as I threatened legal action I was offered the refund they should have offered initially.
Quick to take money but provides zero service please avoid! I cancelled the subscription within 30 minutes of activating it. I’m sticking with the notation software that for SCORE recommends.....
The account was canceled; it doesn't even show as a valid login or password. I attempted to contact customer service to no avail. This app is unhelpful. I contacted the company immediately after being charged.
So the whole thing with requiring a subscription to download midi files is just scummy in my opinion, but that didn't stop me from doing a test on these people. No explanation as to why, no explanation as to how their website said "free trial" but led me to a paying subscription, no cooperation with the customer.
