The word "fellowship" is found at least 20 times in the N.T. One cannot bear fruit without abiding and one cannot abide without bearing fruit!Also, abiding IN HIM and His words abiding IN YOU are also equated as the same thing!So, we have to ask ourselves does this agree or disagree with other passages?Are there passages which say that if someone remains unfruitful or continues to produce ungodly fruit, their intimacy with God comes to an end?“(10) Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (8) But if it only yields a mass of thorns and briers, it is considered worthless, and is in danger of being cursed, and in the end will be destroyed by fire. 36 37. Let me share three things with you that I believe the Lord wants us to know about abiding in Christ. a. Fellowship involves communion.
