Great work David Ellis!Although I was expecting more legal courtroom drama, this was a compelling and psychologically insightful novel . This one belongs in the latter category. The author even tried to make it more interesting by going back and forth from present to past with the main character, Jack. Nothing too hard to grasp, but the leading character struggles and inner conflict struck me as true and skillfully portrayed.

My favorites in the genre are I like a good legal thriller - there's something inherently entertaining about the good vs. evil of them (even though the actual legal system is a billion shades of gray & good & evil don't necessarily factor in).
