Be prepared to pay for parking fee. Be careful as there is a camera behind you at the stop sign.
It gets crowded!
Keep left at the fork. If you begin the path to the right, up the stairs it's a steep incline in the sun with views of the ocean. Early am or late evening is recommended.

The incline is my favorite part about Temescal, many of my friends become winded just climbing up to the top. It's a loop so choose the path best for you. Amazing trail!! Enjoy.Beautiful views, but slightly overrated in my opinion. Dogs are not allowed on one side of the trail but there are trails across the way from the parking lot with more shade where dogs are allowed.$10 parking fee. From the PCH, head inland on Temescal Canyon Rd for 1 mile. Inclines aren’t that bad if you have condition (still a little tough for me).

If you begin the path to the left, it's a gradual incline, mostly shaded to the waterfall/bridge. It does have a spots where you can rest. A lot of human traffic, so wear your mask and try your best to maintain 6 feet apart. If you want to start with the harder, sunnier part, start to the left on the loop trail. From the main parking lot, follow the park road. This is a family friendly hike and right off the PCH. Wear a mask, sometimes the trail is very narrow and traffic goes both ways. The sustain climb leads to a junction with Leacock Trail after 0.8 miles. Be aware that on nice days you may have to park further away than you want, but consider it your warmup.
